GiANt’s Soap DISh

Pairing up with Holly de Looze (@holly_delooze), the winner of our 2024 curator call out, to present Giant's Soap Dish. This exhibition showcased artwork relating to the healing effect of being within nature, and relationships artists have with natural environments.

Giant’s Soap Dish followed the perspective of female and non-binary artists. Historically, women have been closely associated with the natural landscape; biologically and culturally, however nature writing and land art has become primarily male dominated. We have invited female and non-binary artists to show their work in Giant’s Soap Dish, offering an alternative platform and space for artists making work around this topic.

“We are inherently nomadic beings, we belong outside”

The work exhibited comes from a collective of artists with a shared desire to abstractly explore the natural environment through various mediums.

This exhibition was held between 22nd - 26th January 2025 at Electro Studios Project Space, St Leonards-on-Sea
